Body Pains and Western style kitchen

During the course of treatment of pains of people I have found one thing in common. People who stand a lot during their work have more problem than the people who don’t need to stand for a lot of time.

Housewives have to stand a lot of time in the kitchen doing their chores; cooking food, breakfast, brewing tea and all. Sometimes I wonder how come Indian kitchens are designed on the western style.

In the western world they buy food and then warm it before they eat. In India the concept of cooking is very much alive except where the husband and wife both work and the wife doesn’t find time to cook. So they end up eating out or they carry in food and warm it before eating.

In a typical home the housewife spends so much time standing in the kitchen that she contacts so many pains from head to toe. In contrast their mothers and mother in laws did not have than much pain as they used to cook sitting in the chowka (kitchen).

It is high time they think over it and turn back to the traditional style to save themselves from the excruciation pains they suffer due to this mistake.

I can only hope that the better sense will prevail and save the Indian housewife from the painful charade.

  1. I completely agree Sir. I think this an extremely relevant observation. I will tell this to as many people as i can, and definitely to our hired cook who cooks at few other homes too.
